Breville 800ESXL

You won’t find any plastic here. Not at all. The exterior is all stainless steel, and you won’t have to worry about pieces of plastic breaking off like you do with a lot of other machines. Get the best of both worlds, professional level quality at a consumer price with the Breville 800ESXL.

DeLonghi EC155

Sometimes I think coffee pods are taking over the world. It seems like every company is making them now even though they're much more expensive to use than grounds or beans. This machine is great for anyone, though, because it can work with either grounds or pods so you can get your espresso however you like it.

Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista

I didn’t know that Mr. Coffee has also made entries into the espresso maker arena, but the Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista Espresso Maker does a pretty good job of making a really functional machine with a lot of perks many other options in this price level don’t have.

Rancilio HSD-SILVIA

The Rancilio Silvia is not an espresso maker you’re going to buy if you don’t make a ton of espresso. Well, if you have a lot of money to burn, you could, but I don’t think you would want to. This is a great machine, but you could run out of funds pretty quickly if you’re not saving a serious amount of money over your coffee shop habit.

Capresso EC100

The Capresso EC100 doesn’t include all the bells and whistles, and it doesn’t look like a spaceship that could zip out of the kitchen and right into orbit like some of the more expensive models. What it does do is make espresso and cappuccino, which is my main concern, so we’re starting out on the right foot.

Breville BES870XL

The Breville BES870XL Barista is as professional an espresso machine you can get for your home without actually buying a massive professional one. You will pay for it, though. Not just in terms of its price, but you will also pay with counter space - or the resulting lack of thereof.

Gaggia 14101

The Gaggia 14101 Classic Espresso Machine looks just like I would imagine the perfect espresso machine to look, and it offers the professional perks I got used to with the espresso machines I used at the shop I ran. You're certainly going to pay for the extra quality with this machine, but I think it might be worth it.
